Megan selected for Premier U19 Netball League

Posted: 27th February 2017

Congratulations are in order for pupil Megan Conabeare who has been chosen to represent Team Bath Netball Performance League.

Taunton School and Galmington Netball Club Shooter Megan Conabeare, who is only 15, will train weekly with the country’s premier under-19 netball league. Team Bath’s NPL squad competes against nine other teams who, together with Bath, are the U19 representatives of the various franchises which make up the Netball Superleague.

Lisa Manley, Head of Netball at Taunton School, said “The league provides players with an opportunity to hone and develop their talent in a competitive environment, with many players aspiring to take to the court at the very top national and international level. This is an especially great achievement as Megan is only fifteen.”

Megan added: “I was very happy to be selected for the squad and really enjoyed my first game against London Pulse. I’m looking forward to training every week and getting great experience with the team.”

Megan played her first game for Team Bath last weekend, unfortunately losing to a strong London Pulse team, which had a number of U17 and U19 England players competing for them.
