The Tigers Parachute Display team impress Cadets

Posted: 7th May 2017

They may not have jumped out of a plane with a parachute but that didn’t stop The Tigers giving a spectacular display at Taunton School on Friday afternoon.

Taunton School’s CCF (Combined Cadet Force) students were treated to an up-close look at some of the equipment used by The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment on Friday, when the Tigers team abandoned their parachute jump due to strong gales. Instead, they met with students and set off smoke plumes, demonstrated opening the parachute and chatted with the CCF students about their formations and how they train.

The hope is that the “premier display team of The British Army”, will be able to come back on another date in the future and try again.

The Tigers are now going back to their base in Paderborn in Germany having just spent a month in California.
