Entry Process

Entry at 13+ (Forms 3 - 5 / Years 9 -13)
Boys and Girls normally enter the Senior School at age 13, however we do accept pupils at other stages in their education.

Candidates attending Preparatory Schools would be expected to take the Common Entrance Examination in June.

Candidates who have not been prepared for Common Entrance would be required to attend for interview, and possibly sit relevant academic tests.

Transfers at other stages will be considered on interview, report and where appropriate examination.

Particular attention is paid to reports from Headmasters and Headmistresses in all applications.

Entry at 16+ (Year 12)
Entry at 16+ to the Advanced Level courses will normally be conditional on a minimum of five GCSE passes at Grade A* to C, but again, interview and report play an important part in determining the offer of places.
