Recharging the batteries

Posted: 25th November 2016

Our overseas boarders had a fun time in Thone over the course of the Reading Weekend. With a trip to Hollywood Bowl, MacDonald’s, some cookery and Christmas decoration making, they also found plenty of time to recharge their batteries for the forthcoming four weeks and the lead into Christmas. Having welcomed back those who had been home for the weekend, it seemed clear that the House are looking forward to the outings arranged for Thone. Many have decided to stay until the end of term and to be a part of the weekend activity programme. As we look ahead to this weekend, Thone are looking forward to ‘Snowfun in Thone’ and a trip to @Bristol. We also have Dry Ski Slope Skiing and the ever popular trip to Clark’s Village for some Christmas shopping.

Throughout the week, Thone House have also enjoyed an array of activities, including being a part of the Michaelmas Concert. We have had fun swimming, baking sweet delicacies, making our very own Mannequin Challenge video and playing team games in the sports hall.
