Sixth Form student William Bird has been selected for the U18 Independent School’s National Rugby Squad, The LAMBS.
William went through a rigorous selection process playing at the regional festival where Alex Laybourne, National Director of the squad commented “the standard was exceptionally high and all the coaches and selectors were very impressed with the rugby on show.”
Just 38 players were selected nationally and over the course of the next three months William will develop his skills as a Forward with the squad taking part in a very tough fixture programme, culminating in an exciting tour to Canada.
