Taunton School’s Jon Gatford has played his last game for Taunton Titans Rugby. Jon has played over 280 league games for Taunton Rugby Football Club, ranking in the top 3 in the history of the club.
Taunton Prep School PE Teacher Jon joined Taunton Titans as a Colt at 16 after leaving school. He went on to play academy rugby for Bristol and Bath then debuted in his 1st senior league game for Taunton in 2004. Jon recalls “At that time Taunton were three leagues below where they are now. My last game was on Saturday against a team called Readingensians. We managed to win 33-32 and finish 4th in our league.”
Jon added: “I’ve really enjoyed playing for Taunton and I wish them all the best for the future”
