Taunton School has strengthened its relationship with neighbour and key sports club Taunton Vale with a major sponsorship deal.
The sports club, situated just off Greenway Road in Taunton already has strong associations with Taunton School, with many students taking part in games and matches on the site. Similarly, TVSC have access to Taunton School facilities.
Headmaster Lee Glaser commented: “The wider Taunton community is fortunate to benefit from the breadth of facilities on offer at Taunton Vale Sports Club and we are pleased to support and contribute to this.”
Facilities at Taunton Vale Sports Club include a full size Astroturf hockey pitch, a football pitch, four outdoor Netball/Tennis courts, three Astroturf cricket nets and an indoor sports hall offering sports such as Netball, Five-A-Side football and Indoor Cricket. In addition Taunton Vale Sports Club plays host to a number of Somerset County Cricket Club fixtures and during the summer months various County matches are played on the excellent cricket fields.
Colin Johnson, Chairman of Taunton Vale Sports Club added: “We are delighted to have agreed the sponsorship arrangement between Taunton Vale Sports Club and Taunton School. Taunton School is our next door neighbour and we had close links for a number of years. The sponsorship deal will enable us to build on those links on a variety of opportunities in the future.”
Taunton School also supports and works in partnership with Taunton Rugby Football Club, Taunton Athletics Club, Galmington Netball Club, Taunton Deane Cricket Club, and Taunton Deane Swimming Club and COACH (Centre for Outdoor Activities and Community Hub).
