Girls Cricket training starts in earnest

Posted: 19th December 2017

Girls cricket teams have started their preparations in earnest and have been working hard getting ready for the Lady Taverners National Competition which commences next term.

There are two different age group competitions, U13s and U15s, that start after Christmas. These are played indoors with the county final being at the Somerset CCC in March.

The Prep School were aided in their practice sessions by Charlotte Vickery from Lower 6th as well as by Pete Sanderson, Director of Cricket and Marcus Trescothick, Head of Cricket Development. These preparations are part of a girls cricket programme that started in October encouraged by the success Western Storm had last summer.
