NEWS FROM OUR PREP SCHOOL BOARDERS
2018 has begun with great gusto in Thone House. Since returning on Sunday evening, it has been wonderful to hear the laughter, see the smiles and observe the energy and enthusiasm the children have had. Proudly showing gifts received for Christmas, sharing stories of their holiday experiences and generally catching up from where they left off, the atmosphere in Thone has been dynamic and welcoming. To that end we have been delighted to welcome three new boarders into our ‘home’ and to share special times with day pupils choosing to come and stay for a night or two, or three… Free swim in the Keeling Pool remains to be a popular activity which we will continue to run on a Tuesday evening, whilst there is also the opportunity to play badminton on Monday. Complementing the sport options, it is also super to have some designated music practice time, the opportunity to cook / bake and enjoy some down time.
Our debut weekend of 2018 will be great fun, with Mr and Mrs Hornsby running the ‘Thone House Presents… ‘ activity and Mr Gatford, Mr McCarthy and Miss Barzotelli taking Thone House to LazerQuest on Sunday.
Looking ahead we are excited about ‘Pebble ‘n’ Paint’, Clip ‘n’ Climb, ‘Sweetness and Light’ and a trip to Art to Art all before the half term break. Our Clip ‘n’ Climb’ activity is full, but should you wish to join us for one or more of the remaining activities, please contact Michelle Coleman – firstname.lastname@example.org
