Enjoying the winter sunshine

Year One had a great time at Forest School in the winter sunshine. Their topic this term is Out of Eggs and the children thoroughly enjoyed building warm, safe nests using an abundance of natural materials. The children used binoculars to spot and identify some of the common garden birds they have been learning about. Finally it was time to enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate before heading back to school.

Nursery Four enjoyed a cold, crisp walk around Fyne Court. The children enjoyed exploring the forest, watching the robins in the trees and finding the icy puddles.

Reception also wrapped up warm for a chilly day exploring Fyne Court. They found a folly and looked closely at the details to produce amazing observational drawings. They enjoyed finding sticks and creating their own stick men. To finish their day they went on a walk and found lots of interesting things including a “magic tree trunk” which they were able to climb on to.

What a fun filled day!
