This week at The Grange our students have been doing their bit for charity. Mrs House’s tutor group cooked up a selection of tasty delights for the Macmillan coffee morning 2018. Sasha, Xavier, Koki, Kitty, Fifa and Thulfiqar, along with their tutor, set up production in the dining room with Kitty taking charge of creating the Coconut Ice and the boys looking after the Rocky Road.
After much mixing, the creations were left to chill overnight and on Friday the cakes were served. The rest of The Grange students flocked to support their peers with many feeling generous, donating more than the price of their chosen treat to charity. We are delighted to report that students and staff raised £209.44 for Macmillan which will go towards helping to support those affected by cancer.
The weekend saw the students take part in a Pizza night organised by Mr Eksteen, the Housemaster. This was followed by a mass dodgeball game and some creative biscuit decorating. The students also headed out into town to purchase items to support Open Door, a charity supporting the homeless in Taunton. We hope that these items will benefit those in need when they are donated at Harvest Festival on Sunday.
