Taunton School Main Building at Dusk

Thank You to our Staff and Parents

Posted: 9th November 2018

Welcome back, I hope that you all managed to enjoy time together as a family over the half-term break. This week seems to have been particularly busy with all our Parents’ evenings. Thank you to all of you who have come in to talk with the staff about your children. I know how valuable the staff find these sessions.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Year 1 team for taking the trip on Monday to Bristol Zoo. The penguin art work, produced after the structured sessions at the Zoo, is simply stunning and makes all the work around taking a trip, very worthwhile. A further big thank you to Mrs Lawson for our wonderful mornings of ‘Wake and Shake’ – Wednesday’s ‘Baby Shark’ routine (in the rain) was a particular hit with the rather damp children and staff involved.

I have been intrigued to see the pile of Recycling steadily growing in the Year 2 classrooms, this week. Rumour has it, that after all the excellent research completed by the children over half-term, the next stage involves building individual Tower Bridges next week. Thank you so much Year 2 parents for your support in this.

Finally, I look forward to seeing some of you at Monday’s exciting Year 2 sharing assembly from 8:35 – 9:00am.
Have a good weekend.
