It was a successful week back at TSI following half-term. House debating took place on the Friday night, with Stasi, Max, Paulius, Neva and Slava all attending and taking part in their respective categories. Neva and Slava took part in the main debate, Max spoke in the impromptu speaking, whilst Stasi took part in interpretive reading and Paulius spoke in the persuasive speaking.
Over the weekend lots of fun activities and trips took place at TSI. For a bit of fun go karting took place on Saturday afternoon with much competition taking place between the male staff and students. However, it was Yaroslav who took first place for the TSI students. Following go karting, a group of students adventured on a trip to the 5km neon run which was a first for TSI students, as they donned their bright neon clothes. To round off a fun filled Saturday Mrs Griffiths tutor group hosted a charity Halloween social which was attended by around 50 TSI and TS students. All the students had a great time and it was a great chance for all the students to socialise together.
Sunday 11th November saw the centenary marking the end of World War One, and TSI students attended a chapel service of remembrance to pay their respects.
The sporting activities for the week included Leo and Justin playing basketball for the first team, unfortunately, losing 52-55 to Millfield in a close match. Paul, Louise, Alex, Lino and Ian played away in the 2nds football team to Kings College, finishing with a narrow 0-1 defeat. Lastly, the rugby under 16 A’s played an action packed home match to Bryanston School winning 61-0, with Jek scoring 3 tries.
