The Grange opened its doors on Monday the 9th December to the public and filled the school with festive music at its annual Christmas music morning. The forest classroom was beautifully decorated with students’ Christmas trees, stained glass windows and a homemade fire place and the room quickly filled with chattering voices.

Ceci, Marina, Jaime, Enrique, Kitty and Anya kicked off proceedings with the poem ‘A Visit from St Nicholas’.  They were very animated and spoke confidently. The Grange choir performed ‘Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!’ and ‘Feliz Navidad’ which was a favourite with the audience and students alike. This year was our first to include the audience joining in with the Christmas carols, which was a lovely edition.

Fifa played drums to two tracks which got everyone’s feet tapping. Grace played the piano incredibly well to ‘Andante In A’ and Anna played the guitar to ‘A’Soalin’ and ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ which left everyone in the room with a smile on their face.

After the music had finished, guests and students enjoyed tea, coffee and mince pies whilst having a chance to mingle and chat. Finally the students and staff gathered around the Christmas tree to perform ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ which involved some very enthusiastic singing.

It was a lovely morning which left everyone really excited about Christmas.
