Welcome to 2020 to all our Pre-Prep families, we hope that you enjoyed some lovely time together and that this year is a very positive one for you.

As we near the end of the children’s first full week back at school, there have been lots of ‘wow moments’ and imaginative learning taking place throughout — with Reception being inspired by their instructions to design a new space rocket from Astronaut Williams. Year one found some giant eggs in the forest that needed looking after. Year 2 have also begun a new topic ‘The wonderful world of chocolate’ – looking at where in the world Cocoa is grown and the climate and habitats of these countries. We are of course all counting our sleeps until the Year two visit to Cadbury World on the 28th January.

These ‘wow starts’ do really make the children’s learning so much more exciting and give important purpose to the tasks that they are asked to complete. As well as sparking the children’s imaginations and creating great productivity throughout the classrooms.
Congratulations to all the Year two Dancers who recently successfully entered their Royal Academy of Dance Pre-Primary ballet exam. Madame Turner is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the children’s certificates and medals for presentation in Assembly.

Finally, I must mention the exciting chance for N3 to have a trip on the school’s brand new coach – next week, as part of the Transport topic they are currently doing. Hopefully, the 24 children and the 6 staff will enjoy an elevated view of Taunton in the exciting new …. VERY smart coach.

Have a good weekend.
