The students at the Grange campus rallied together this term to support a tutor group fund-raising effort for the international charity, Smile Train. Students raised a total of £968 by celebrating St Valentine’s day with a rose. Their generosity was astounding – over 550 roses were bought and delivered across all parts of the school with a simple message of respect or friendship. After costs, a final profit of £750 has been donated to the Smile Train, meaning that 5 children will have their lives changed forever!

This remarkable charity operates a sustainable model of training local doctors and surgeons to perform the simple yet often unaffordable procedure of repairing a child’s cleft lip or palate. For only £150 a quick operation can repair the gap in the lip or palate, leading to a forever smile and a new lease of life for a child and all the family.

Thank you to all the students for all your generosity and the team-spirit that you showed in working together to make this happen.
