Throughout the year our international students at Foxcombe and The Grange have been holding a variety of fundraising events to raise money for our nominated charity ‘drill2Drink’. Their aim is to help bring much needed clean water supplies to villages in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.

We have received the fantastic news that with the help of fundraising events such as those at Taunton School, a borehole has been commissioned in the village of Londoto and testing is already underway ready to create two clean water taps! One will provide filtered drinking water and the other will be for bathing and household use. The villagers currently rely on unsanitary water from streams and rivers so this will make a huge difference to the 1,000+ villagers that call Londoto home!

Thank you to all the students who got involved helping with various bake sales and fundraising efforts, and to all the staff and students who donated throughout the year, it all adds up and makes a big difference!
