We are delighted at Taunton School International to announce yet another year of fantastic GCSE results of a grade 9 – 7 pass rate of 38% and a 9 – 4 pass rate of 92%. It has been a very challenging year both for teachers and students in terms of covering all the subject content and producing the work to the standard necessary to achieve these grades. The commitment, effort and determination involved did not falter when we switched to our online programme for the duration of the Summer term. The students were engaged and worked hard right to the very end. They truly deserve the wonderful results they got.
A special mention must go out to our three performers this year: Vasilisa, from The Netherlands, who achieved six grade 9s and one grade 8, Marcus, from China, who achieved four grade 9s and a grade 7 and Yuki, from Japan, who achieved three grade 9s, a grade 8, 7 and 6 – well done to all of them!
This year we proudly added another string to our bow by offering a one year Business Studies A level course to qualify students to enter onto our new International Foundation Year. I am delighted to report that we achieved a 100% pass rate, with all the students entered achieving the necessary grade to move onto the International Foundation Year. A special mention must go to Tricey, from Ghana, who achieved a grade B in just one year. Well done to her and to all of our students who were involved in GCSEs and A Levels this year.
