Unveiling ‘The Westy’ Golf Simulator

Thank you to everyone who attended the official opening of the school’s brand-new golf simulator earlier this month. Generously donated by an OT in memory of Iain Westwater (Evans, 1973-1982), ‘The Westy’ will strengthen our golf provision immeasurably, allowing pupils and our wider school community to practice their skills on some of the best courses around the world right here on campus. It also provides students with a space to benefit from lessons by golf professionals and get ready for the range of tournaments they take part in each year.
We are extremely fortunate to be able to add this to our offering and we’re excited to watch our golf provision continue to grow and thrive.
The opening was attended by a number of Iain’s family and the Headmaster, James Johnson, as well as Governor and OT Matthew Pyke who said a few words about Iain and the impact of this new facility, before Senga Westwater, Iain’s mother, officially opened ‘The Westy’.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life and please us know if you would like to make use of this terrific new facility.
