OTA Christmas Lunch

It was wonderful to see so many OTs and guests at the annual OTA Western Club Christmas Lunch yesterday.

Guests enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner before hearing from OTA President, Anthony Forester-Bennett (Goodland, 1968-1978).

After the lunch, guests joined us in the cricket pavilion and sports hall, where we officially unveiled the new Somerset Country Cricketers and International Sports boards. These boards were generously funded by the OTA Western Club and organised by the late Derrick Mead (Wills West, 1940-1952). Thank you to David Mason (Fairwater, 1944-1950) who gave a wonderful tribute and toast to Derrick.

We were delighted to welcome members of Derrick’s family for this special occasion and took the opportunity to show them the Mead window in the Chapel that was generously funded by the Mead Family and organised by Derrick.
