Donor Reception and Keeling Lecture

Keeling Lecture with James Holland

We were delighted to welcome some of our amazing donors to a special reception in May, providing us with an opportunity to thank them for their ongoing generosity and support of the school.

It was a pleasure to see so many of our incredible donors gathered for an evening of drinks and canapés. The Head, James Johnson, took the opportunity to personally thank everyone and explain the significant impact their donations have on both pupils and the school. James also shared some of our recent pupil success, ranging from the classroom to the sports field. Following the reception, many guests attended the third Henry Keeling Memorial Lecture, an engaging talk by the historian, writer, and broadcaster James Holland.

The theatre was filled for Holland’s fascinating lecture, where he explored some of the leadership lessons that can be drawn from D-Day. Beginning with the D-Day Landings, he explained how their success resulted from years of meticulous planning, requiring the Allies to work closely together and approach challenges with open minds.

We have an exciting lineup of Henry Keeling Memorial Lectures scheduled for the next academic year, this time with a focus on the arts. We look forward to sharing details with you soon.
