Taunton School student selected for England rugby camp

Caspar R Rugby

Taunton School is celebrating a major achievement as student Caspar R has been selected for the England Rugby Under 18s training camp. This is an outstanding accomplishment and the entire School community extends its warmest congratulations to him.

The prestigious England U18 training camp brings together the top rugby talents from across the country, offering players exposure to elite coaching and an environment designed to replicate international-level preparation. Being chosen for this programme places Caspar among the most promising young players in England. Caspar also attended the U17s camp last year so to be invited back this year is exceptional.

Ben Thomas, Director of Rugby at Taunton School, praised Caspar’s commitment and development:
“This is a fantastic honour for Caspar and thoroughly deserved. We are all so proud of him and wish him the best of luck on camp.”

Caspar’s selection further strengthens Taunton School’s growing reputation for producing high-level rugby players and reflects the continued success of its player development pathway.

This success follows 21 students being selected to join the Bristol Bears Academy, representing age groups from U15s all the way through to U18s. Seven of these students have also been selected for the Bristol Bears U18 Academy League squad — a brilliant achievement that highlights their dedication, talent, and commitment both on and off the field.

Students Markos and Vaclav are also celebrating after they represented the Czech U18 team in the European Championships against Portugal, Georgia, and Netherlands.
