TPS Retain National Pistol Shooting Trophy

Our U13s courageously retained their national team award at this year’s National Pistol Shooting Finals. Scoring in this competition is based on pupils aiming at a ring target, with teams divided by age group. TPS scored an outstanding 495 points, winning by a strong margin over the second place school who scored 486, with third place scoring 462. This outstanding result highlights the hard work and dedication the team has shown over recent years, supported by the expert coaching of James Trembath.
Team members in this year’s competition were:
Teddy P (Year 8)
Erin W (Year 7)
Eloise B (Year 8)
Also competing in the U18 Youth section, Teddy went on to place an excellent 3rd, with Eloise finishing in 5th. The team were supported by students from the Senior School who previously developed their skills through the TPS Pistol Shooting Programme. Teddy and Eloise shot impressive individual scores of 170, placing them just outside the U18 top 10 rankings.
Looking ahead, Eloise and Teddy will move up to the Senior School for next year’s competition where we look forward to watching their progress. Erin will continue to compete in the Junior section, supported by the next group of keen pupils already eagerly practising in preparation.
