Ursula Gray (TS, 1969-1993)

We are saddened to share the news that Ursula Gray (TS, 1969-1993) passed away on 6th July 2026.

Ursula joined Taunton from Weirfield School and played a pivotal role in bringing the two communities together as the school transitioned to coeducation.

A deeply valued member of the school, she devoted herself to many aspects of school life, serving as Housemistress of Murray, Bevan and Foxcombe, an officer in the Royal Navy section of the CCF, a counsellor, and Deputy Headmistress.

Ursula’s dedication, leadership and care touched generations of pupils and colleagues. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by the entire Taunton School community.
