Whilst families join all sections of our school, we do have two dedicated international boarding houses for Taunton School International, and Taunton International Middle School.
Boarding plays a key role in our students’ exciting educational journey, helping them to cement lifelong friendships, build confidence and develop independence and self-resilience. All students will experience a warm and supportive atmosphere in their selected house and the house becomes a focal point of students’ lives at school.
Across Taunton School, there are 10 boarding houses, with 6 of these being fully integrated houses (UK and International) and 4 offering bespoke boarding for International students only.
Our younger international boarders (8 – 14 years old) who are studying academic pathways at our International Middle School have their own boarding houses, and these are called The Grange North (girls) and The Grange South (boys).
All other younger boarders reside at Thone House.
Senior school aged boarders (14 – 18 years old) studying on our bespoke International Academic Pathways (One-year GCSE/Pre-IB programme, Two-year GCSE/Pre-IB programme, Pre-Foundation Year and International Foundation Year) have their own boarding houses, situated within the 56-acre Taunton School campus and are known as Foxcombe West (girls) and Foxcombe East (boys).
All other senior school aged boarders reside in one of the other 5 boarding houses at Taunton School.
