  • Fee extras & methods of payment for 2025/26

Please visit My School Portal for methods of payment.

  • Do you accept Childcare Vouchers?

Yes, we accept Childcare Vouchers. To see if you are eligible for Tax Free Childcare please click here. Some employers include Childcare Vouchers as part of the remuneration package offered to their employees. These vouchers can be used against childcare provision such as nursery and holiday club sessions.

Please note that these methods of payment can be used in conjunction with the Early Years Funding.

Tax free childcare is a popular form of payment for Nursery and Pre Prep fees up to the point when your child is aged 5 or over at the start of an academic term. However, due to HMRC restrictions and the practicalities of administration, once the pupil is aged 5 at the start of an academic term then childcare vouchers can only be used for Holiday club.

The School accepts vouchers from a number of providers, please contact the Finance Department on 01823 703140 for account details.

  • Do you accept Early Years Funding?

Yes, we have agreed to adopt and work in Partnership with the Somerset Code of Practice for Early Years.

The county of Somerset offers a maximum of 570 hours per year of Early Years Entitlement (EYE) for eligible families of children aged 9months to 5 years.
There are a further 570 hours available for qualifying families.

There is no minimum entitlement per day, but the maximum hours per week that may be claimed is 15 or, for those families qualifying for the additional entitlement, the maximum amount of hours which can be claimed each week is 30.

Early Years Entitlement is free at the point of delivery and covers the delivery of the Early Years curriculum.
It is important to note that this funding does not cover meals and snacks or the use of our purpose-built facilities, swimming teachers, specialist music staff, language teachers, dance lessons, PE lessons and other specialist activities. These additional facilities, lessons and activities form part of our Taunton School Nursery Exceptional package which is subject to additional voluntary charges to access.

Somerset County Council provides lots of information and guidance to help you make an informed choice. More information is available online on www.somersetchoices.org.uk or by calling 0300 1232224.

Please contact our Nursery Admissions Administrator on 01823 703302 or tppsadmissions@tauntonschool.co.uk for further information.
