The International Middle School occupies the site of a beautiful 19th century manor house located in the charming village of Kingston St Mary, just 2 miles from Taunton School. TSIMS provides a unique boarding school experience, set in mature, ornamental gardens, with native woodland.
TSIMS provides the crucial stepping stone into the British education system for international students aged 8-14. The curriculum is carefully designed to provide the best possible start to a British boarding school education for your child.
Starting at an English school without the necessary language skills can be daunting for most students. This is why TSIMS employ specialist teachers to deliver a varied curriculum in small class sizes (average 8 students/class) with subject-specific vocabulary development at the heart of what we do.
Throughout their time at TSIMS, young international learners integrate with the Prep or Senior School students so that when they transfer to the Prep or Senior School (usually within one academic year) it is much easier to settle as they already have many friends, and they are familiar with their surroundings.
Students can join the school in September, January or April.

With 24-hour medical care available from our Health Centre, supported by a team of doctors, nurses, matrons, physiotherapist, counsellors, mental health nurses, residential tutors and House Parents, we put the students and their wellbeing at the heart of what we do.

Taunton School International Middle School offers a wealth of opportunities for their international students.
Our fees range from £7,600 (Year 4) to £14,300 (Year 10) and cover all of the teaching, academic resources, accommodation, all meals, laundry and many after-school clubs and weekend activities.
Extras include private music tuition, uniform, sports kit, airport transfers, examination fees, some co-curricular activities and weekend trips.
