Taunton School was founded in 1847 and the now Grade II listed gothic-style building was constructed by Joseph James, complete with an impressive tower. In 1907, William Henry Wills, 1st Baron Winterstoke, sponsored the construction of the Chapel, which to this day still plays a key role in the School’s community.
The Grange, which is located three miles from the Taunton School campus, first opened its doors to International students in 2012. The fine buildings and gardens have historical significance, attracting Sir Anthony Eden, British Prime Minister (1955 – 1957), to holiday here in his time away from office. The buildings have architectural features dating back to the 15th century and have been beautifully renovated to provide educational facilities and modern amenities to the highest standard.
