Welcome to Taunton School International

Taunton School has welcomed students from across the globe for more than a century and in 1996, Taunton School opened its flagship International School, offering the very popular one-year GCSE programme, which is still a highly sort after course today.

Over the ensuing years, new academic programmes have been added and therefore, with so many educational pathways now open to students, there is no better time to join us and learn on a stunning 56-acre campus in the heart of beautiful Somerset in the South West of England.

Our unique offerings and family-friendly ethos set us apart from many other UK boarding schools. We are an inclusive, friendly, progressive, and successful school, where all students are afforded outstanding education and support in order that they may reach their full potential.

Depending on age and level of English, international students may enter the Pre-Prep, Prep, Senior, or International Schools, where we offer the greatest range of educational pathways at secondary level when compared to any other school in the UK. Whether you have a low level of English or are a first-language English speaker, we are confident that we can find the right course to meet your needs.

If you would like to contact us for further information, please do so by emailing our Admissions Team, who will be happy to help.

Co-curricular Activities at Taunton School

We firmly believe a child’s education should be as broad and as varied as possible. Naturally, academic studies are extremely important, but in addition to this we expect all students to fully involve themselves in the many co-curricular activities on offer, making their time outside of studying as varied and stimulating as it would be at home.

Preparing children for life beyond school means instilling in them the desire to try something new, to be adventurous and creative, and to show resilience and grit in the face of adversity. The co-curricular provision affords students the opportunity to involve themselves in a huge variety of clubs, events and activities, which will undoubtedly broaden their horizons including:

  • Tennis
  • Football
  • Photography
  • Debating
  • Model United Nations
  • Orchestra
  • Theatre
  • And many more!
