A-Levels

A-Levels allow students to study three or four subjects in depth over two years.

Students studying A-Levels are also open to conduct an independent research project via an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification).

Entry Requirements:

BTEC

BTECs (Business and Technology Education Council) are practical-based vocational qualifications.

BTECs are an established and highly successful alternative to general qualifications, suitable for a wide range of students.

BTECs are taught at the Senior School and provide a hands-on experience in a subject away from traditional classroom learning. They are seen as an alternative to A-Levels and are becoming increasingly popular with universities.

As work-related qualifications, BTECs provide a more practical, real-world approach to learning alongside a theoretical background, giving students the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for both university and employment.

Entry Requirements:

  • Students must be 16 or 17 years old (at the start of the course)
  • IELTS ≥ 5.5 or CEFR ≥ B2

  • If GCSEs have not been taken, prospective students will be required to pass entry tests in the relevant subjects
