Reporting to: Marketing and Communications Manager

Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am - 5pm

Salary: £18,000 - £21,000 depending on experience

Contract: Maternity Cover to start beginning of January 2018

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • To design and co-ordinate the production of high quality marketing literature and digital campaigns including online and offline collateral to promote Taunton School.

MAIN TASKS

Under the direction of the Marketing and Communications Manager

  • Working with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the marketing team, to contribute to the development of termly and annual marketing collateral delivery plans to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of print and digital marketing materials in line with school marketing campaigns and budgets for all parts of Taunton School including TSI, TSIMS, Nursery, Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior, Short Courses & Summer School

  • Use Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, to design brochures, advertisements, flyers, posters, banners, signs, livery and other print and promotional materials, including agent catalogues and directories to brief, to deadline and to budget

  • Manage external production suppliers (print, promotional items, photographers etc) to deliver marketing materials including print and promotional items to deadline, to budget and to brief

  • Work with external agencies regarding the design and production of and marketing materials if they cannot reasonably be handled in-house

  • Work closely with staff across the School to source content for website, flyers, advertisements, social media & marketing materials; proactively gather news content and images; seek approvals and proof-reading

  • Design, issue and measure results of email marketing campaigns

  • Manage and maintain image library, indexing photos in line with current practice

  • Monitor Taunton School’s branding to ensure consistency and professionalism

  • Creation of the school Courier newsletters, Tauntonian year books, department journals and international newsletters.

  • Update website with images and content as required

  • Work closely with the whole School marketing and admissions team and provide support as necessary

  • Undertake such other tasks as the Marketing and Communications Manager might reasonably request

JOB SKILLS

  • Essential: Strong creative design software ability particularly Adobe Creative Suite

  • Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills

  • Excellent ICT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook

  • Website CMS experience

  • Experience of working with people from a wide variety of cultures preferred

  • Professionalism, tact, discretion and calmness and the ability to work to deadlines

  • Good interpersonal and customer relationship skills

  • Driving licence required
