Always a new experience in ThoneFriday, December 1, 2017
NEWS FROM PREP SCHOOL BOARDERS
If you have been following Thone House in the Courier on a weekly basis, you will have seen that there is always a new experience on offer. This week has been no different, as Thone House have had a hoot partaking in Kahoot Chaos and visiting the Fleet Air Arm Museum.
A blend of technology, teamwork and prizes made for a successful Saturday afternoon as Mrs Hill and Mrs Stunell challenged Thone on a range of topics, such as Guess the Logo, Match the Signs and Name that Tune. Having had time to chill, catch up with parents, enjoy time on the Nintendo WiiU / Xbox, it was then time to depart for the Fleet Air Arm Museum with Miss Richards and Mr Williams for a Sunday afternoon trip out. Stepping into helicopters, sitting in the cockpits, experiencing a ride in the aircraft simulator, all led for an enjoyable afternoon, before returning to the House and preparing for a busy week ahead.
With friends popping in for ‘sleepovers’, the weekly activity programme of swimming, cookery, sports hall fun, arts and crafts, music and prep, the week and indeed the month, has simply come and gone in a flash. On entering December, it has also been a joy for us to decorate our Christmas tree and ours rooms, to make our ‘home’ sparkle and to devour our first chocolate of our advent calendars.
