Boarders look ahead to exciting new yearFriday, July 7, 2017
NEWS FROM PREP SCHOOL BOARDERS
The end of the academic year always seems to come around extremely quickly and for obvious reasons there is often mixed emotions! After a wonderful weekend, with Parents’ Day and our house trip to Crealy Park, we have had to bid a few farewells. Of course, our Year 8 boarders’ move excitedly into the realms of Senior School and two of our GRA’s, Tom Hughes and Dan Swires, leave in continuing their journey for a promising career in teaching.
Added to this, we will also see a little less of Miss Page, as she steps aside from her role as Assistant Houseparent to focus on her position as the TPS Saturday Enrichment Coordinator. Needless to say, in the small world we tend to live in these days, I always feel the farewells are not goodbyes and the pros of living in such a close knit community far outweigh the cons.
Many fond memories have been made throughout the year and it is with thanks to the boarders that their energy and enthusiasm keeps Thone House buzzing. We wish all of Thone House a wonderful Summer break and look forward to the new challenges and experiences that come in 2017-2018.
