Getting Stuck In

Posted: 20th September 2018

Another lovely productive week in the Nursery and Pre-Prep, with the children beginning to bed down into their classes and routines. They are already beginning to work in their targeted Phonics groups along with beginning to get incredibly stuck in to their topic work.

I have been impressed by lots of the activities and work that is going on throughout both the Nursery and in the Pre-Prep. However, this week I would really like to share with you below some of the impressive work that is happening in Year 2.

This term, Year 2’s topic is London and they are focusing as much of their learning around this subject as possible: from the careful watercolours of Paddington Bear, to the list of instructions for making a Marmalade Sandwich. The children have also been working together to compose their own class stories and have produced detailed story maps, which they are using to support their story writing. Well Done Year 2, Mrs Cooper and Mrs Brodie.

Finally, I look forward to seeing Nursery 4 and Reception parents next Tuesday 25th September at the phonic workshop, 19:00 – 20:30.
