Introducing "Hub Time" and "Dorm Time"

Posted: 4th October 2018

This week saw the introduction of a new evening routine in Thone, aimed at increasing the opportunity for social interaction and much needed ‘down time’. Both ‘Hub Time’ and ‘Dorm Time’ were greeted with great excitement and maturity, with the children enjoying the opportunity to play games, chat, read, rehearse speech and drama performances and even tidy!

An ‘Exeat’ meant a much quieter weekend after yet another busy week. An afternoon at the bowling alley on Saturday saw Zakariyo take the crown, with JJ not far behind! Mr Wells, Mrs Wells and Mrs Marshall were of course very gracious and let the children win!

On Saturday evening Mr Edwards challenged the children to Chess and Blokus – we definitely have some practising to do! Sunday saw us set off for some retail therapy at Clarks Village. Some relished the opportunity to shop until they dropped whilst others just made the most of the excellent park. On our return it was lovely to welcome everyone back after the weekend all set for another action packed three and a half weeks in the build up to half term.
