On Saturday afternoon, the children enjoyed a Halloween arts and crafts activity kindly organised and led by Mrs Seymour and Mrs Battersby. The rest of the day saw the children playing table tennis competitions, painting, reading, completing preps and writing poems. We were grateful for a relaxing film evening with tuck later on in the evening – time to recuperate as a boarding family in the final run-up to half term.
A light pyjama breakfast ‘at home’ in Thone on Sunday morning was a lovely way to start the day. Following a competitive game of dodgeball and outside activities in the glorious morning sunshine, the children were ready for the infamous weekend school brunch before heading out on a trip to Brean Splash Waterpark.
With aqua-acrobatics on display from the girls, underwater swimming competitions undertaken by the boys, pool games and slides for all (including ‘The Disco Slide’!), there were wide smiles and more memories made. Mr Pettit got splashed perhaps a bit more than he bargained for! Energy expended, the children had no trouble in getting to sleep!
