It was a ‘back to basic’ weekend for our boarding family with good old fashioned fun in the sun. On Saturday, the children enjoyed an afternoon of fun and games in the Pre-Prep Woods, with Mr Baker and Mrs Cooper, making the most of the range of forest school facilities. Saturday evening saw the arrival of Mr Edwards for some hotly contested games of ‘Blokus’. The Headmaster had clearly been practicing in preparation but the children certainly gave him a run for his money! Sunday morning allowed for some much needed downtime, and an infamous school brunch, before heading out en mass to walk Rocco over to French Weir Park. A relaxing afternoon filled with football, rounders, conker collecting, playing and reading was just what we all needed after a busy start to the term. The weekend culminated with the Community Barbeque and Chapel Service before heading back to Thone to prepare for another busy week ahead. Time certainly does fly when you’re having fun!
