Sparking Imaginations

Posted: 18th January 2019

Welcome back to all our Nursery and Pre-Prep families, we hope that you all enjoyed some lovely family time together. On behalf of all the staff here, thank you so much for our incredibly kind cards and gifts, you were very thoughtful. As we near the end of the first full week back at school, there has been lots of fun and imaginative learning taking place throughout, with Reception enjoying their bear hunt and Year 1 finding and looking after their giant eggs in the classroom. It is so lovely to see how this has sparked the children’s imaginations. I have really enjoyed looking at the children’s paintings and written work as a result of these planned activities.

Year 2 enjoyed a very successful trip to Paignton Zoo on Tuesday. I have loved hearing about the children’s favourite part of the trip and of course, a big thank you to Mrs Cooper and the rest of the team for all that they did to make this trip so enjoyable and such a success for everyone.

Finally, I must mention the impromptu Fire Drill for Nursery 3. The children left the building very calmly and went straight to the green outside. When the all clear was given, the children then went straight back into their nursery rooms and had every bit of firefighting dressing up on the go.

Have a good weekend.
