TSIMS get activeFriday, February 2, 2018
It’s been a very busy week for the students at TSIMS, with multiple trips going on over the weekend followed by the run up to the forthcoming examinations.
A group of TSIMS students went to Flip Out in Wellington for a fun-filled session. The students were able to jump, improve their parkour skills, swing on ropes and attempt to run up walls. Not only did they have a lot of fun by themselves and with each other, but they also learned valuable lessons about teamwork. The students were remarkably good at helping each other get onto the equipment and then they demonstrated how to get around the course. The students had a great time saying that it was an amazing trip and they would love to return.
On Saturday afternoon, the TSIMS students experienced a live Bristol City football match. We left school at around half twelve, with the weather looking rather grim on the drive up to the Ashton Gate Stadium. Mrs Stevens managed to get all the students and staff front row seats. This was brilliant as the game was neck and neck for a very long time, until Bristol City scored two goals. Our students slowly picked up on the banter and cheers and eventually rose to their feet. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were very pleased as Bristol City won 2-0.
This week we are looking forward to supporting some of our students as they embark on the maths challenge which is taking place at Taunton School.
