TSIMS Go to the Festival of LightFriday, November 30, 2018
This weekend was Reading Weekend at The Grange, and there were a variety of activities to keep our students entertained. On Saturday Mrs Shearman, our Housemistress, accompanied our Juniors over to Taunton Preparatory School to take part in some cookery. The students whipped up some white chocolate and blueberry muffins which were then enjoyed by the rest of the students over the weekend!
On Sunday, students took part in biscuit decorating and crafts, taking Polaroid photographs of themselves to make decorative displays on the boards in their rooms. This was followed by some fresh air with a game of ‘Capture the Flag’ on the lawn. Meanwhile, 21 students headed out to Longleat where they watched the big cats from the safety of the minibus. They also had a chance to get a little closer to the wildlife, with the group feeding deer and supplying the sea lions some fish. In the maze, the students tried to figure out how to get to the centre and then raced to escape, with Thulfiqar getting a little lost! As the day drew to a close and the sun went down, the group explored the Festival of Light, with students admiring large glowing lanterns of famous landmarks and gigantic dazzling animals. After a quick stop for dinner the students returned to The Grange to share their photos with their friends and prepare for the week ahead.
