Lifeguard Qualification Courses
Saturday, April 6, 2019 - Wednesday, April 17, 2019
There are numerous benefits to lifeguarding; first and foremost the valuable life skills that you will learn such as first aid, CPR, and rescue techniques. You will also benefit from personal gains such as maintaining or improving on fitness levels, as you are encouraged to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle. The mental benefits for completing a lifeguarding course include the increased ability to cope well under pressure, work well within a team and you will gain confidence in your own abilities.
Every candidate attending a NPLQ course must be 16 years old at the time of taking the NPLQ final assessment and be able to:
- Jump / dive into deep water.
- Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds.
- Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water.
- Tread water for 30 seconds.
- Surface dive to the floor of the pool.

All of the courses run from 0800 until 1600.
