Fundraising for Refugees

Posted: 24th November 2016

Last week our year 7s organised a massive jumble sale to raise funds for RAFT (Refugee Aid From Taunton). It was very enthusiastically supported by the pupils and parents and generated a total of £188.59 to be donated to the charity.

On Wednesday of this week we went back to RAFT with TPS pupils, Isobel Hogevold, Charlie Way, Joe Nieve, Tyler Henderson and Josh Green, to present them with the cheque and to donate the unsold items from the jumble sale. The ladies at RAFT, Lesley, Mel and Federica were delighted to receive these acts of generosity and promised, as requested by the children, to spend the money on toiletries and nappies for the refugees when the next delivery is made.
