We are pleased to announce that the recreation room in Thone House has been completely refurbished over the Easter holidays, providing a modern, fresh and comfortable space for the pupils to relax during the school day and also in the evenings and weekends where it becomes the focus of social interaction for the boarders.
The room has been redecorated and new lighting installed, allowing individual areas to be lit to suit all kinds of activities including reading, conversation or viewing movies on the large cinema screen. The new wood laminate effect floor completes the contemporary look. Students gave their thoughts on the style and use of the spaces and we hope this has been reflected in the project.
New purpose made sofas, armchairs and drum stools have been placed in the room; the vibrant colours giving it a real lift and offering a multitude of combinations for comfortable seating around the whole room.We are delighted with the outcome and hope that the students will enjoy using the room throughout the whole day.
