Chemistry Students are 'Top of the Bench'
Four Chemistry students recently represented the school at the regional heat of the ‘Top of the Bench’ competition at Exeter University organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry. Alex Kitchen, Adi Sharma, Daniel Lloyd-Jones and Ben Jackson attended the National Competition for bright young chemists. Tasks included analysing the amount of vitamin C in a selection of fruit and vegetables as well as a challenging quiz to test their wider knowledge of chemistry.
The boys impressed the judges with their teamwork and titration skills but were narrowly beaten in the end by the Blue School team from Wells.
