Olympic Dreams for Student Emily

Posted: 9th January 2017

Sixth Form student Emily Yap has been talent-spotted by the British Skeleton Association and will be attending training sessions with them in February.

Emily is just one of 21 young athletes that has been invited to attend these sessions after a team of World Class coaches and sports scientists examined her athletic profile and sporting background. Based on a thorough analysis of this information they believe that Emily has future potential in the sport of Skeleton.

Emily says: “I’m so excited to have a go at Skeleton at the Sports Training Village at University of Bath, which is the home of the British Skeleton & Bobsleigh Association. It’s a great opportunity to discover my potential in the sport.”

The training will be the first step for Emily in exploring the potential to develop as an elite Skeleton athlete towards Beijing 2022 and beyond.
