Motors and Music at TSI
This week at TSI, Tamane, Amber and Kien took part in the first Friday Night Is Music Night which was held in chapel. All three students performed in the orchestra and Tamane also played the violin in the string quartet. All three students thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and look forward to this becoming a regular event.
Friday night was also a very enjoyable night at TSI as Mrs Hallworths tutor group hosted a crepe café in the common room. Amber had a particular talent for making crepes, so Mrs Hallworth thought it would be a great idea to show off her talent!
As you could imagine, thirteen of the TSI boys jumped at the chance to go to Haynes Motor Museum on Sunday and spend the day looking at vintage motors and the history behind them. In addition, nine other students went to watch Exeter Chiefs play Bristol Bears at Ashton Rugby Club in Bristol. It was an action packed match that saw the Chiefs win and was enjoyed by all.
On the sporting front Jonas played for the first football team. Unfortunately, they were defeated by Millfield 1-3 away from home. In the second football team Houman, Alex, Lino, Louise and Ian also put up a tough battle away to Millfield’s D team that resulted in an unlucky defeat 1-2. In the rugby, Jek put up a great performance in the U16A team, winning 45-5 against King Edwards. Paulius, Yanis, Timo, Alfred and Kevin also won, playing in the U16Bs against King Edwards' second team; the score there was 44-29.
