TSI Go Paintballing
A doughnut sale was held on Wednesday 3rd October in TSI common room in aid of the Indonesia earthquake and tsunami appeal. Sofi, Manu, Stasi and Azzurra raised an impressive £75 which we are sure will go to good use.
Two of our students Vincent and Sofi, will be leading what is the new boarders forum. The forum aims to allow all students to have their voices heard by raising their concerns to their appointed representatives; Sofi or Vincent, so issues amongst the boarding house can be discussed and resolved appropriately.
It has been another busy week of sport at TSI. Louise played in the boys under 16 B’s football team along with Alex, Lino, Paul, Ian and Jonas who drew 2-2, with both goals for Taunton being scored by Jonas. They also all played earlier in the week, playing home to Millfield on Wednesday, however unfortunately losing 0-1. In the rugby, Jek played in the Senior Colts A U16’s team winning away to Colston’s 36-40. Whilst Timo, Yanis and Paulius courageously played to a 29-29 draw in the under 16’s boys rugby B team also against Colstons school.
All students attended the Harvest Festival in a chapel service on Sunday. Students donated non-perishables foods such as tinned fruit, tinned vegetables and pasta which was donated to a charity called Open Doors.
To round off another busy week at TSI, 40 students and 3 staff went paintballing at Skirmish in Exeter. Splitting into two teams they battled for victory throughout five adrenaline filled games that involved lots of smoke and grenade bombs. All students came back with happy faces and only a few bruises, on a trip that is always enjoyed by all.
