As we approach the half-term break for a well-earned rest, the past week at Foxcombe has seen the students celebrate Chinese New Year as well as mark LGBTQ awareness month through a doughnut sale and movie night.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, students made dumplings from scratch for the all the other students at Foxcombe as well as writing everyone’s names in Chinese to celebrate the occasion.  Everyone loved celebrating the occasion, especially eating the dumplings which were delicious! To mark LGBTQ awareness month, a charity doughnut sale was run where students could buy doughnuts to raise money for 2BU charity which gives support and advice to LGBT teenagers and young adults. There was also a movie night where students had a relaxed evening watching Love Simon with lots of popcorn!

To finish off the week fourteen Foxcombe students went on a trip to Plymouth to watch Plymouth Raiders play Leicester Riders in the basketball. The students had a great time even though Plymouth lost in the last minute!
