Taunton School International were once again incredibly busy within the Taunton school sports teams. Justin and Leo played in the basketball team against Queens College at home winning with a huge victory of 77-33.  Within the rugby teams Paulius, Timo, Yanis and Alfred played in the Senior Colts U16 B’s coming away with a great victory of 40-30 to Dean Close despite the awful weather! Jek and the Senior Colts A also put up a great performance against Dean Close but unfortunately missed out on the win, finishing 19-43. Meanwhile in the football, Louise, Lino and Paul came away with a strong draw in the 2nd XI football team against Canford, whilst Jonas and the 1st XI football team narrowly missed out on a win losing 1-2 also to Canford.

Alvin, Dennis, Hiroki, Kian, Kien, Kevin, Yash, Sayaka and Arina all completed their level 1 volunteering course, which they had been taking part in the past two weekends. This involved covering basic first aid as well as how to successfully steward at events. The course was enjoyed by all of the students who found it very interesting and insightful.

On Friday, Tamane played in the string quartet at St Georges Church, Taunton. She played the violin superbly and is looking forward to the concerto competition this week where she will be playing the piano.

Finishing off the week at TSI 50 of our students embarked on a trip to Cabot Circus in Bristol. Despite the weather, everyone had a great day out enjoying lots of good food and as well as the shopping too!
