Pastoral Care

Every child’s wellbeing, happiness and safety is of paramount importance to us, which is why pastoral care is an integral part of Taunton School life.

In fact, we make it our business to get to know our children and form great relationships so that they feel comfortable to share their concerns and turn to us for help and guidance.

Whether your child needs a shoulder to cry on, advice and support or just a friendly ear, our caring and approachable form and house tutors, teaching staff, house parents and house staff are always available to comfort, guide and support. Plus, children are free to pop in and see the Headmaster at any time.

And for parents with concerns or questions, your child’s form tutor is always on hand to discuss any issues you might have. Our Pastoral Heads of Year are also available to offer advice and support. Alternatively, you can speak to the Deputy Head, Chris Coleman, who oversees pastoral care or arrange to meet with the Headmaster.

At Taunton School, pastoral care is at the forefront of everything we do, so it’s no surprise that we’ve been recognised for our excellent pastoral care and arrangements for our children’s welfare, health and safety in a recent ISI inspection report.
